The year 2022 marks the 103rd anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, which aims to carry forward the May Fourth Spirit and carry forward the May Fourth culture and create a healthy, active and prosperous cultural atmosphere. On the afternoon of May 8th, the Party Branch of Marine Materials Students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering held an online party day activity themed Carry forward the Spirit of May 4th, Take on the Mission of The Times through Tencent Conference. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Sun Kai, party branch secretary, and all party members, probationary members and active party members participated in the meeting.
This online activity was led and shared by Li Gang, the second party group of the branch. From the origin and development of the May 4th Spirit, he analyzed the important historical significance and value of the May 4th spirit. Combined with The requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping for young people in the new era, taking Huang Wenxiu and Li Sha, two outstanding young people in the May 4th Movement of the new era, as examples, through their outstanding performance in the battle against poverty, vividly introduced how young people should take on the responsibility of the new era and fulfill their youth obligations. Subsequently, branch members around the may fourth spirit and other topics launched a warm exchange and full discussion. In particular, Ma Anxu, Fu Haixin and Han Jing shared their understanding and inheritance of the May 4th Spirit from different angles based on their own situations and the perspective of The Times. Ms. Wang Qianyun, member of the organizing committee, fully affirmed the communication and sharing of the students, and put forward detailed requirements and ardent hopes for the students according to the development needs of the national material major.
