According to the course plan of the situation and Policy course of the College, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held an online situation and political lesson themed Forging a Strong Sense of Community of the Chinese nation and Writing a New Chapter of national Unity and Progress through Tencent conference on the afternoon of May 25, 2022. The course was lectured by Professor He Hang and attended by all the undergraduates of the School of Ocean Science and Engineering, Class 2021.
In this course, Mr. He first introduced the characteristics of the pluralistic unity of the Chinese nation. The Chinese nation and all ethnic groups are a big family and the relationship between family members. Then, he explained the great achievements of national unity and progress. The CPC established and developed a new type of socialist ethnic relations featuring equality, unity, mutual assistance and harmony, laying a solid foundation for ethnic unity and progress. In the end, Teacher He stressed the importance of building a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation, that is, guiding people of all ethnic groups to share weal and woe, weal and woe, life and death, and destiny, cultivating and practicing core socialist values, carrying out patriotism education, and strengthening the five identities.
Through this situation and policy class, the students had a deeper understanding of the consciousness of the Common body of the Chinese nation and further realized the importance of national unity.
