On the afternoon of September 20, 2023, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering held a new semester faculty meeting and concentrated education on teachers' ethics in the lecture hall of the scientific research building to summarize the work in the first half of the year and deploy the main points of work in this semester. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Secretary Wang Weiyi and Dean Feng Daolun conveyed the spirit of the middle level cadre meeting of the school in autumn. Secretary Wang Weiyi reviewed the work in the first half of the year, and focused on four aspects: First, how to improve the effectiveness of professional enrollment and employment; Second, which aspects need to be changed, reform and upgrading; Third, how to carry out the cohesion construction of all departments; The fourth is how to implement the work tasks of this semester.
Feng Daolun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and president of the School, comprehensively summarized the achievements made by the school in the construction of teachers, discipline construction, teaching and research, enrollment and employment, analyzed the situation and challenges faced by the development of the school from the task indicators of teaching and research, and made a comprehensive deployment around the key tasks of the new semester.
Dong Chaoqun, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute, Liu Jiahao, and Guo Jiamin have arranged the work tasks for this semester in combination with their respective responsibilities.
Finally, Wang Weiyi focuses on warning education as a teacher's ethics and style. He stressed that the whole faculty and staff of the school should gather their hearts and regain the spirit of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering; Do not forget the original heart, adhere to the bottom line of ethics; Serve the overall situation and show the College of Ocean Science and Engineering's responsibility. All the staff should thoroughly sum up experience, extensively build consensus, and continue to push forward the work.
At the meeting, the 2022 meritorious and commendation award ceremony was held, and the school leaders awarded certificates and medals to the winning staff.
