The ocean is the blue heart of the earth and the source of our life. June 8 this year is the 16th World Ocean Day, but also the 17th National Ocean Awareness Day in China. In order to further guide young students to establish a love of the ocean, knowledge of the ocean, understanding of the ocean feelings, on June 6, 2024, the Marine Science and Engineering College Ship Class 221 League branch carried out the World Ocean Day Clean Beach theme group Day activities.
In the activity, the students carried out a blanket search on the beach with garbage clips and garbage bags, and carefully picked up the cloth strips, plastic bags, plastic bottles, discarded water pipes, fishing nets and other domestic garbage and Marine garbage left on the beach. The garbage in the place where the students passed was not an inch of grass, and the garbage bags in their hands were gradually filled with bags and bags. The beach was restored to its former cleanliness and tidiness under the common cleaning of the students.
Youth breeds infinite hope, young people create a better tomorrow. The Beach Cleaning theme Group Day not only brought cleanliness and beauty to the beach, but also made the students deeply realize the importance of protecting the Marine environment. The students said that they will take this event as an opportunity to continue to pay attention to and participate in the cause of environmental protection, and contribute their own strength to protect our blue home.
